Hello Catherine, thank you so much for sitting down with us today. So, let’s get started. What problems were you experiencing before treatment?
“So I was getting abscesses all the time, both upper and lower. It was so painful and exhausting. I also knew my crowns would need replacing soon, so it felt like everything was happening at once.”
Tell us about the treatment process.
“My dentist recommended that I came to see Dr Andre Faro Leite due to his fantastic reputation. In terms of the process, it was quite a lengthy journey. We started back in 2023 when Andre took photos and created a full treatment plan for me. He broke it down into two phases, which made everything feel more manageable.
“In the first phase, I had teeth removed, implants placed, and a bridge fitted. The second phase focused on the lower teeth, more removals and having the crowns replaced.”
Were you nervous at the start?
“Very nervous! Especially about having teeth removed. I wasn’t sure what that would look like, But Andre put me completely at ease. Some of the surgeries were three hours long, and Clare was brilliant too (Dental Nurse) she looked after me the whole way through.”
“The whole team supported me. Andre checked in with me throughout every procedure. I always felt confident and comfortable with him- he’d give me a big hug, talk me through each step, explained what to expect, he made me feel really involved in it all which helped me feel confident with each appointment.
How is life now?
“Life is great. I don’t cover my mouth anymore when I smile, and all my gaps are gone. It’s given me the confidence to smile and laugh again. Even at work, I feel more self-assured- I’m not worrying about my teeth constantly.”
What would you say to someone considering treatment?
“I’d say, confidently: do it! just do it. It makes such a difference to your confidence. Don’t be frightened about the unknown, just put your trust in the dentist looking after you… and come to Inspired”
