WE CAN HELP YOU IF YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM

  • Acute toothache
  • Wisdom teeth pain
  • Dental abscess and gum infections
  • Dental trauma (broken or chipped teeth or lost tooth)
  • Lost fillings and loose crowns

EMERGENCY APPOINTMENTS

Emergency appointments are designed to provide patients with pain relief and/or a temporary solution. You should not necessarily expect a permanent treatment solution at an emergency appointment unless the dentist is able to offer you that option on the day.

Emergency appointments for non-registered patients have a minimum cost of £175 for the assessment. Any treatments may incur in extra charges, but all charges will be discussed with you prior to any emergency treatment.

FAQs

How much does an emergency dental appointment cost?

The cost of emergency dental treatment depends on the nature of your dental problem and any treatment that may be required. During your appointment, we will assess your situation and explain the recommended treatment and any associated costs.

What counts as a dental emergency?

A dental emergency can include problems such as severe toothache, a broken or damaged tooth, a lost filling or crown, dental trauma, swelling or signs of infection. If you are unsure whether your problem is urgent, contact our team and we can advise you on the next steps.

What should I do if I have severe toothache?

If you are experiencing severe toothache, it is important to seek professional dental advice. Tooth pain can have a number of causes, and an assessment can help identify the problem and the most appropriate treatment.

What should I do if I have broken or chipped a tooth?

If you have damaged a tooth, contact our team for advice. Try to keep any broken pieces if possible and avoid putting unnecessary pressure on the affected tooth until you have received guidance.

Do you provide emergency dental treatment in Exeter and the surrounding areas?

Yes. Inspired Dental Care provides emergency dental care in Exeter for patients experiencing urgent dental concerns. We also welcome patients from surrounding areas including Exmouth, Topsham, Exminster, Cranbrook, Dawlish and Crediton and nearby communities who require urgent dental advice or treatment. Our team will assess your situation and advise you on the most appropriate next steps.

Should I go to A&E for a dental emergency?

Most dental problems are best managed by a dentist. However, if you have a serious injury, significant facial swelling affecting breathing or swallowing, or a medical emergency, seek urgent medical help.

How can I avoid dental emergencies?

Regular dental check-ups, good oral hygiene and addressing dental problems early can help reduce the risk of unexpected dental issues. If you notice changes such as pain, sensitivity or swelling, seeking advice early may help prevent problems becoming more serious.
