Facial aesthetics refer to the area of healthcare that focuses on enhancing the natural appearance of the face. It includes a variety of treatments and procedures that can improve facial symmetry and proportion. Here at Inspired we offer non-surgical procedures such as anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers.

Lines and wrinkles are an inevitable part of the ageing process due to the decline in collagen and elastin production in the skin. The main goal of facial aesthetics is to counteract this process and achieve a more youthful, balanced and harmonious facial appearance. Here at Inspired Dental Care we know that some patients are looking for additional support boosting their appearance beyond their teeth. That’s why here at Inspired Dental Care we are proud to offer a full-face approach to your personalised care including facial aesthetic treatments can help to emphasise your natural facial features and frame your smile.

ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENTS

Anti-wrinkle treatments are popular cosmetic treatments that involve the use of botulinum toxin. People choose to have anti-wrinkle treatments primarily for its ability to minimise the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the face. This is injected into specific sites in the face, in very small doses, to temporarily reduce muscle activity. Particular areas of treatments are frown lines on the forehead, crow’s feet beside the eyes and dimples in the chin. The temporary relaxation of the targeted muscles can result in a smoother and more youthful appearance. Additionally, botulin toxin has various uses besides aesthetics including the treatment of temporomandibular disorders, excessive sweating and chronic migraines.

Anti-wrinkle treatments are a minimally invasive procedure with no downtime, meaning patients can resume their daily activities immediately. However, like and medical procedure there are some potential risks to treatment. This includes temporary pain at the injection site, bruising and headaches. While these risks are relatively uncommon, it is essential for patients seeking treatment to consult a qualified medical practitioner who can provide a comprehensive assessment.

DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal fillers are a type of cosmetic injectable designed to add volume, contour and smooth out facial lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers are typically made of various materials including hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite. When this product is injected into specific sites of the face, dermal fillers can plump up the skin which reduces the appearance of wrinkles and restores a youthful facial contour.  Dermal fillers are commonly used to enhance facial features like the lips, cheeks and under-eye area, providing a more refreshed and rejuvenated appearance. Dermal fillers are temporary treatments and are eventually absorbed by the body overtime.

People opt for dermal fillers for a variety of reasons, a common motivation is to reduce the appearance of fine lines particularly around the eyes and forehead. Dermal fillers can also be used to restore volume to areas of the face that have lost fullness due to aging or significant weight loss. Some patients choose dermal filler treatments to address specific facial asymmetries or to enhance certain features.

Dermal fillers also have minimal downtime and can be tailored to the individual’s specific aesthetic goals, providing a customisable and personal approach to facial rejuvenation. However, like any medical procedure dermal fillers come with some risks. These include temporary side effects such as redness and itching at the site of injection. To minimise risks, it is crucial to consult with a qualified medical professional experienced in administering dermal fillers and patients are urged to follow all post-procedure care instructions.

All of our non-surgical facial aesthetics are temporary, meaning you have the option to decide whether to receive regular top-ups of treatments to prolong the results or simply stop at any point. What is the process?

Step 1: Initial consultation

First, you will attend the practice for an in-surgery consultation with our highly skilled aesthetician. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have and discuss in detail how you would like to enhance your appearance through facial aesthetic treatments.

Step 2: Bespoke treatment plan

Once the clinician fully understands the look you are wanting to achieve, we will outline a bespoke treatment plan with you. This will involve what appointments and treatments are necessary in addition to the associated costs.

Step 3: Post-treatment check-up

After treatment, your clinician will schedule a follow-up appointment to monitor your progress closely and ensure you are delighted with your results. Our goal is to help you achieve a look you are confident and happy with.

Step 4: Aftercare

Your clinician will provide you with guidance on what to expect after your facial aesthetic treatment and detailed aftercare advice. It is important to remember that non-surgical facial aesthetic treatments such as botulin toxin and Dermal Fillers are temporary, therefore should you wish to maintain the results treatment must be repeated periodically.
